Abstract

The wide spectrum of political groups in the United States has expanded as society and technology progress, creating groups that are can be very liberal, very conservative, very socialist, very feminist or any degree of moderate. The most extreme groups offer a foundation for individuals to view their own theories and create their own opinions and agendas across the political spectrum. Each different group has roles in our society based on their ideals making society was it has become today - a combination of individual freedoms, societal responsibilities, individual rights and government control and restriction. One of the most liberal groups is the Leadership Conference on Civil rights Coalition, while a very conservative and tradition based political group is the American Family Association. The Democratic Socialists of America considers their cause a movement towards social change and away from "capitalist exploitation" and the very most feminist group, the Nationals Organization of Women, is looking for a social change towards complete equality for women in every field of importance in American society.
Modern liberals believe in the government's role to guarantee equality and protect everyone's natural rights; life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The Leadership Conference on Civil rights Coalition join together dozens of groups to promote the democratic selection of a government that uses its power to secure social and economic equality for all people of any nationality, gender, sexuality identity, race, and religion. As the population diversifies, the public begins to accept it more.
