Abstract
Popular transforms include the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and the Discrete Wavelets Transform (DWT) that allow us to place the water mark easily into the perceptually significant parts of an image. This leads to a mark that is more resistant to an attack, since it is harder to remove the distorting image. Thanks to the rapid expansion of the Internet and the overall development of digital technologies, millions of users, who are scattered all over the world, are able to use a vast number of multimedia products. If trading in digital products is to be correct, it has to support protection against misuse and infringement of copyrights, against using unauthorized copies of pictures or stolen video clips, modified digital information, etc.
