«We have seen in the previous chapters that the failures of the global environmental governance mainly come from the environmental organization, inter governmental institutions and interference between them. Therefore, the failures and difficulties seem institutional, structural, due to a lack of resources either human or financial, and a lack of good coordination. Institutions, organizations, agreements, agencies are at the heart of the problem and represent the diverse bodies causing the weaknesses of the global environmental governance. «Upon careful separate consideration of social fairness and security studies it is necessary to examine how crisis management must incorporate requisite contemplation of social justice regarding both crisis preparation in addition to potential response strategies. Firstly, in assessing the relevant impact upon governmental crisis management, the contemporary international system ensures that governments will continue to be tested for their competence in, “governing crises and managing emergencies, saving lives and property, and providing security for their citizens.”[7] Perhaps the one of the most prolific and frequently debated contemporary governmental responses to a disaster was the 2005 Hurricane Katrina, one of the deadliest Hurricanes in United States history with approximately 1830 fatalities and property damage alone amounting to an estimated 81 billion USD.[8] Specifically Katrina is an important empirical example of a “grand failure in crisis and emergency management”[9] highlighting significant failures to ensure adequate levels of social responsibility and justice....»
